NEWMARKET, ON – Just short of four years after it opened, Arch Brewing has announced that it is closing down its bricks-and-mortar location in Newmarket, Ontario, and will be switching back to contract brewing for the time being.
As explained in the closure announcement:
For the past 4 years, we have loved brewing exceptional beer on a small scale in a boutique space. Despite our love of everything tiny, we are taking some massive leaps this year, including the volume of beer we brew. That’s why, for the near future, we are returning to our original business model of being a contract brewery, and partnering with a brewery that has larger equipment. Our small space on Pony Drive is simply too small for what we have planned in 2020 and beyond. To facilitate our growth, we’ve sold our building to a very cool real estate company, and all of the fun stuff in it has been sold to another brewery to enjoy. We feel so blessed to be a part of the future for these two companies.
The final day of business for Arch Brewing at 110 Pony Drive will be tomorrow (January 21st). For more details, see the Arch Brewing website and Facebook page.
