OTTAWA, ON – The National Capital Region has gained another brewery with last month’s low-key opening of Spark Beer in Ottawa’s Chinatown district.
Founded by husband and wife team John Sproull and Andrea Gormley, Spark opened in early January, and is offering a rotating selection of its own beers on draught and in bottles, as well as several guest taps and wines by the glass.
Beers currently available include Black as Midnight on a Moonless Night Session Stout (4.3% abv), Ovington Electric #2 Pale Ale (5.3% abv), Amiable Old World Saison (7% abv), and Even Downtown Hazy Sour Ale (6.5% abv). While no food is currently available, a pizza oven is being installed for future use.
