ORILLIA, ON – The first brewery to operate in the central Ontario city of Orillia for more than a century has announced that it will be launching next week.
Couchiching Brewing has been founded by a group of eight business partners, and is opening with a core line-up of four brands including Sunshine City Blonde (4.8% abv), Atherley Pale Ale (4.9% abv), Call of the Mild (3.4% abv), and Lock 42 IPA (6.8% abv).
The beers were made available for pre-sale via the brewery’s social media accounts earlier this week, and orders will be available for pick-up this weekend in advance of next week’s official launch. While full details are still to be confirmed, they plan to offer beer for pick-up and delivery orders for now, with the taproom and retail store to open when the COVID-19 lockdown is lifted.
Couchiching Brewing is located at 162 Mississaga St. E. in downtown Orillia. For more details, see the brewery’s website, Twitter, and Instagram.
