HALIFAX, NS – Rockbottom Brewpub in Halifax has announced that its current closure due to COVID-19 will be permanent, but a relaunch under a different (and already locally familiar) name will follow later this year.
As revealed by Maritime Beer Report, the space will soon become a second location of Nine Locks Brewing, the Dartmouth brewery that Rockbottom owner Shaun O’Hearn opened in 2016.
According to the report, the rebranded spot will have beers from the main Nine Locks brewery on tap, as well as small-batch beers brewed on-site. In addition, those beers will be pouring at Your Father’s Moustache, the neighbouring restaurant also owned by O’Hearn.
The new location of Nine Locks is expected to open late this summer at 5686 Spring Garden Road in Halifax.
