BLENHEIM, ON – Two months after a opening a pop-up retail shop that saw them sell what they’d expected to be a month’s supply of beer in just a weekend, Ontario’s newest farm-based brewery has announced that it is now fully up and running in the province’s Chatham-Kent region.
Red Barn Brewing has been co-founded by married couple Denny and Sandy Vervaet, along with Sandy’s brother and head brewer Dan English. Sitting on a 100-acre farm that has been in the English family for three generations, Red Barn is located in a namesake building that has been purpose built for the brewery.
The brewery opened for patio service and growler fills this past weekend, with five beers available including Home Farm Blonde Ale (4.8% abv), Five Acre Island Citrus Blonde (5.1% abv), Belgian Heavy Draft Ale (7.6% abv), English Farm Session IPA (5% abv), and Harwich Moon Chocolate Porter (5.6% abv).
Red Barn Brewing is located at 20466 Lagoon Road in Blenheim, and will be open on Saturdays and Sundays, with patio table reservations available online starting at 9:00 AM on Thursday each week. For more details, see the Red Barn Brewing website and Facebook page.
