Amsterdam Brewery, Le Trou du Diable and Unibroue Win Top Spots at World Beer Awards 2020

NORWICH, UK – The winners have been announced for final round of the World Beer Awards 2020, and three Canadian beers are among the nine overall World’s Best winners:

  • World’s Best Flavoured Beer – Amsterdam Brewery Double Tempest Barrel Aged Imperial Stout (11.9% abv)
  • World’s Best Pale Beer – Le Trou du Diable La Saison du Tracteur (6% abv)
  • World’s Best Wheat Beer – Unibroue Blanche de Chambly (5% abv)

In addition, other Canadian beers were named as winners in several sub-categories, including the following:

  • World’s Best Dark Belgian Style Dubbel – Unibroue Maudite (8% abv)
  • World’s Best Flavoured Honey & Maple Beer – Unibroue Lune de Miel (8% abv)
  • World’s Best Pale Belgian Style Tripel – Unibroue La Fin du Monde (9% abv)
  • World’s Best Berliner Weisse – Brasseurs du Monde Blanche du Mur (3.9% abv)
  • World’s Best Sour/Wild Ale – Le Trou du Diable L’Ours Brassin Spécial (6% abv)
  • World’s Best Bavarian Style Hefeweiss – Brauerei Fahr Hefe (5.3% abv)
