VANCOUVER, BC – Six months after the release of its Spring 2020 issue, the usually-quarterly British Columbia beer magazine The Growler has announced that it is set to return following a break forced by the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a statement posted to The Growler website, editor Rob Mangelsdorf says the following:
Like many small businesses, we’ve had to become flexible in dealing with the realities of these very weird times. Unfortunately, we’ve had cancel an issue or two, and postpone the 2020 edition of The Growler’s B.C. Craft Beer Readers’ Poll Awards (aka The Growlies)—but we promise it will be back next year, barring another near-cataclysmic event (touch wood!).
And yet, the beer still flows. All over the province, breweries and cideries continue to produce delicious and innovative new brews.
Which is a good thing, because I don’t know about you, but I could sure use a drink.
The next issue of The Growler will be released on November 1st, and will be available to purchase online, and at select breweries, cideries, liquor stores, taprooms, and other retail locations throughout British Columbia.
