Half Hours on Earth Releases Ancient & Vast From Which We Spring Farmhouse Lagerbier

SEAFORTH, ON – Half Hours on Earth has announced the release of its newest limited edition beer.

Ancient & Vast From Which We Spring (5% abv) is described as follows:

A lager brewed with Pilsner malt, and organic Farro (also known as emmer), an ancient variety of wheat. Primarily fermented with our house German lager yeast, with a secondary fermentation of Saison yeast and Brettanomyces. Hopped with Hallertau Mittlefruh in the boil, and dry-hopped with Hallertau Blanc. Lagered for seven weeks, then bottle conditioned. The organic Farro was sourced from our friends at Second Spring Foods, and provides a lightly sweet and nutty character which matches the grainy Pilsner malt, perfect for the lager base. Everything is delicately balanced from the subtle peppery Saison character, the floral and wine-like gooseberry notes from the Hallertau Blanc, and just the right amount of funk. Highly attenuated for the dryness and crispness you’d expect with a Farmhouse Lagerbier.
