HALIFAX, NS – 2 Crows Brewing has announced the release of a new collaboration with Change is Brewing, a BIPOC collective in Nova Scotia that “partners with local breweries to promote diversity & inclusion in the craft beer, food & service industry.”
Good News (3.1% abv) is a Berliner Weisse with raspberry and mango, and is described as follows:
Brewed with a base of Pilsner malt, and malted & unmalted wheat. Hopped with a little bit of aged noble hops, then soured with lacto plantarum before fermenting warm with a super fruity Kveik yeast strain. After fermentation, we conditioned the beer on an aggressive amount of fruit – 950lbs of raspberry, and 725lbs of mango – and dry hopped lightly with Enigma and Huell Melon. Super bright, super jammy, super fruity and super fun.
Good News will be released on Saturday October 24th with a launch event at 2 Crows featuring a BIPOC Makers Market, food by Hibiscus Specialty, and spoken word poetry by Deirdre Lee. For more details, see the Facebook event listing.
