TORONTO, ON – Burdock Brewery has announced the release of the latest beer from its barrel-aged cellar beer program.
FM 3000 (6% abv) is described as follows:
Soured with a potpourri of mixed-cultures from dregs of some of our favourite spontaneous beers, FM 3000 is made up of 5 of the most tart, cheek puckering barrels from our program. It’s a blend of some of the lower-end IBU beers we put into barrels almost 4 years ago now when we were running experimental trials with different mixed-cultures to dial in our barrel program. This beer is seriously old; it was brewed and barrelled down in 2017, aged through 2018/2019, and has been bottle conditioning through 2019-2021. We let it bottle condition so long to mellow out the acidity and it has calmed down into something really clean and delicious. If you’re a fan of spon/geuze, lemons, and candies that contain the word “fuzzy” or “blaster”, you’re going to love this squeaky clean sour barrel blend.
FM 3000 is available now at the Burdock retail shop and online store.
