OTTAWA, ON – Broadhead Brewing has announced the latest release in its Taproom 174 series of limited edition beers.
Black Currant Cream Ale (5.1% abv) is described as follows:
Broadhead started by brewing up a refreshing and easy drinking Cream Ale which was then conditioned on a bed of pureed black currants; the most fruit they’ve ever packed in the fermenter. Pouring garnet red with a bright and fluffy pink foam, this beauty packs aromas of berry, grape and cherry with a subtle earthiness. Medium-light bodied with moderate carbonation, bold flavours of berry and passion fruit shine through offering a hint of acidity that delivers a pleasant tartness without being sour, and a quick dry finish that will leave you reaching for another sip.
Black Currant Cream Ale is available now at the Broadhead taproom/retail store and online shop.
