CALGARY, AB – Cabin Brewing has announced the release of a new beer in honour of International Women’s Day.
Cloudburst Tart Blueberry & Lemon Ale (5.2% abv) is described as follows:
While COVID restrictions meant we couldn’t bring the women of Cabin together to brew the beer, they decided the style, flavour profile and name and put our brew team to work. Cloudburst uses a hop blend provided as part of the Pink Boots initiative, which strives to improve gender diversity in the brewing industry. The sweet fruitiness of the blueberries and vanilla in this easy-drinking sour are balanced with the underlying acidity of lemons, while lactose adds creaminess. Think of it as a pie in a pint glass.
Cloudburst is available now at the Cabin Brewing retail store and online shop. A portion of sales will go to the Pink Boots Society.
