PORT ALBERNI, BC – The third brewery in the Vancouver Island city of Port Alberni has announced that it will be soft launching today (March 25th) before its official opening next week.
Alberni Brewing Company has been founded by Yvan St. Onge and Heather Welsh, with the latter’s husband Jason Welsh serving has head brewer.
While the opening beer list has yet to be announced, a preview profile of the brewery in the Alberni Valley News notes that the brewery plans to offer “a selection of session and seasonal beers, with a focus on hop-forward and hazy IPAs, alongside pilsner-style international lagers.”
A variety of guest taps and other beverages will also be available, accompanied by an extensive food menu overseen by St. Onge including snacks, salads, bowls, burgers, quesadillas and more.
Alberni Brewing Company is located at 4630 Adelaide Street in Port Alberni, and will be open today to Saturday March 27th from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Regular business hours will start on Sunday March 28th, with an 11:30 AM opening 7 days a week, and closing at 8:00 PM on Sunday, 9:00 PM on Monday to Wednesday, and 10:00 PM on Thursday to Saturday.
