KINGSTON, ON – Spearhead Brewing has announced the release of a special edition of one of its core brands in support of a local charitable organisation.
Tall Ship Expeditions Canada – Brigantine Incorporated is a charity “dedicated to empowering, connecting, and inspiring youth through the challenges of sailing a traditionally rigged ship. Through experiential learning and skills development we build confidence, strength, and leadership in our ship’s crew.”
In memory of TESC-Brigantine’s recently deceased founder Francis MacLachlan, Spearhead has released a limited edition run of its NEIPA that features the TESC logo on the can, and will be donating a portion of its sales to the TESC “Dream Big” project, which will see the ship travel east through Quebec, Labrador, Newfoundland, and Nunatsiavut during the 2023/24 seasons.
“We are proud to partner with Tall Ship Expeditions Canada and provide youth an opportunity to participate in life-changing experiences,” said Josh Hayter, President of Spearhead Brewing, in a statement. “The team at TSEC-Brigantine told us about their plan for an important project and we were more than happy to jump on board and support their fundraising efforts.”
“The pandemic has affected all organizations including ours and we appreciate the support that Spearhead will provide through this partnership,”, added Chris Chafe, Executive Director of Tall Ships Expeditions. “It exemplifies the values we encourage in our youth programs including leadership and teamwork.”
