TORONTO, ON – Halo Brewery has announced the release of a new limited edition beer to mark their 5th anniversary.
Eighteen Hundred (9% abv) is described as follows:
As is tradition at Halo, we’re releasing the fifth instalment of our anniversary beer: Eighteen Hundred (aka the number of degrees we’ve rotated around the sun). But this being our fifth one, we decided to make something unique. Something dark! Something tart! And it’s tasting reeeal nice.
Eighteen Hundred is a sour porter fermented with our house brettanomyces on tons of sweet and tart cherry. This combination gives rise to aromas and flavours reminiscent of black forest cake and mingling dark berry. The acidity is complemented by a lightly tannic mouthfeel and a subtle finish of sweet dark cherry juice.
Eighteen Hundred is available now at the Halo Brewery bottle shop and online store.
