OTTAWA, ON – Almost seven years after launching as a contract brewery, Shillow Beer Co. has announced the official opening of its bricks-and-mortar location in Ottawa.
Founded by brewmaster Jamie Shillow and her husband & company president Ben Shillow, the label was launched when the couple lived in Toronto, and continued after their relocation to Ottawa, with its Bitter Waitress Black IPA (6% abv) and Beer Snob Belgian Rye Ale (6% abv) available via LCBO, grocery stores, and licensees in Ontario.
Now open for in-person shopping and online orders for pick-up, Shillow is currently stocking cans of the two flagship brands noted above, along with several small batch beers including Plain Sour Ale (4.2% abv), Amber Wheat Ale (5.9% abv), Summer IPA (5.8% abv), and Brown Ale (6% abv). All of its beers are certified kosher by supervision of the Kashrut Council of Canada (COR) and the Ottawa Vaad Hakashruth (OVH).
