KITCHENER, ON – Short Finger Brewing has announced that it will be marking its six years of business as a homebrew supply shop, and the third anniversary of its on-site nanobrewery, with a now traditional event that puts the spotlight on one of its signature beers.
Lando Day is a “celebration of the ever-evolving sour Saison blend” that has been available from Short Finger in various iterations and permutations over the last few years.
The 2021 edition of the festivities will be taking place at the brewery on Sunday June 20th with a COVID-compliant event on the patio featuring food by Clementine Catering (pre-order online) and three new beer releases:
Billy D 2021 Old Unblended Lando (5.4% abv):
This year’s version was aged for 18 months in 4th use red wine barrels. Lightly dry-hopped with old EKG leaf hops prior to bottling, it has been conditioning in bottle since October 2020.
Lando Batch FP (French Puncheon) Barrel Aged Blended Sour Saison (5.4% abv):
80% of this batch spent 16 months in freshly emptied French Puncheons, 10% is our 2021 Billy D. and the remaining 10% is fresh Lando.
Cloud City Double Dry Hopped Raw Oat Pale Ale (5% abv):
We visit Cloud City once per year in honour of Lando Day. With a Galaxy and Citra double dry hop, this is an absolute haze bomb dry-hopped at 22g per liter.
The new beers are also available via the Short Finger online shop along with two cellar editions of Lando, and four more cellar beers will be available at the brewery on Sunday for on-site drinking or takeaway.
