EDMONTON, AB – Blind Enthusiasm Brewing has announced the latest release in its series of limited edition barrel-aged beers.
Take a Charentes on Me (8.1% abv):
A light, amber ale using Belgian yeast was put into fresh Pineau des Charentes barrels shipped straight from Bordeaux and aged for 14 months. It came out of the barrel at 8.1% ABV and transformed into a light brown beer with ruby highlights. It shows light oxidized notes, akin to a sherry, with aromas and flavours of dried fruit and brown sugar. It is delicate and delicious.
Take a Charentes on Me will be released on Thursday July 1st, and can be pre-ordered now via the Blind Enthusiasm online shop in both 375 ml and 750 ml bottles.
It’s also featured as part of the next – and final – edition of the food and beer pairing Biera Box, which can be pre-ordered now for pick-up or delivery on July 2nd and 3rd.
