The Grist Craft Kitchen & Brewery Now Open in St. David’s, Ontario

ST. DAVID’S, ON – A new family-owned restaurant and craft brewery has officially opened its doors today in St. David’s, a community in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario.

The Grist Craft Kitchen & Brewery has been founded by Robert and Danielle Begin, a couple with many years of experience in the hospitality industry, including owning a pizza restaurant and working for several breweries and wineries.

After a week of take-out service, the Grist is opening for in-person drinking and dining today, with a starting line-up of beers that includes Burning Down The House IPA (5.8% abv), Where To Begin Italian Pilsner (4.5% abv), Secord Stout (5.2% abv), and 1836 Red Cream Ale (4.7% abv). The latter is inspired by the last brewery to operate in St. David’s, Stamford Spring Brewery, which John Sleeman founded in 1836 and closed 11 years later.

On the food side, the kitchen is offering a menu of gourmet pizzas, burgers, wings, sandwiches and other beer-friendly items.

The Grist Craft Kitchen & Brewery is located at 78 Four Mile Creek Rd. in St. David’s. For more details, see the Grist website and Facebook page, and profile article on Yahoo! News.
