KINGSTON, ON – Spearhead Brewing has announced the final release in its Globetrotter Series, a line of “specialty craft brews that celebrate the flavours of the globe.”
Czech Republic Pilsner (4.8% abv):
We have an extremely talented Czech Brewmaster, Tomas Schmidt, so it was only time before he brewed a traditional pilsner! It is only fitting on our final stop of the Globetrotter series that we finish in the Czech Republic. We now give the reins to Tom, letting him flex his brewing muscles and pay homage to his homeland.
This pilsner was made with floor malted Bohemian malt, Crystal 15oL malt, Sladek and Saaz hops. On aroma, you get a subtle, distinctive aroma of the Saaz hops. But the real enjoyment comes with the first sip. The initial hop character of bitterness quickly changes to a pleasant, slightly sweet, malty mouthfeel with a crisp and refreshing end.
