DARTMOUTH, NS – North Brewing has announced the release of a new session-friendly ale.
Whirligig Dark Mild Ale (3.2% abv):
For this style, think light on the alcohol, but big on the toasty delicious malt flavours. It’s got hints of spice, caramel and biscuit and a nice warming finish, perfect for a blustery fall day. Fun fact, one of our production members thought this beer was called Giggly Wiggly until a few days ago. Maybe we should make a barrel aged version and call it that, we will see what happens! Whirligig is made with Sterling Ale Yeast from Escarpment Labs in Ontario along with a mélange of malts (including: Mild Malt, Biscuit Malt, Maris Otter, Midnight Wheat and Roasted Barley) to give lots of body and delicious roasty, toasty, caramely notes.
Whirligig is available now at both North Brewing retail stores and the brewery’s online shop.
