WINNIPEG, MB – Nonsuch Brewing has announced the release of its newest limited edition bottled beer.
Bourbon Barrel Aged Russian Imperial Stout (9.2% abv):
Nestled in oak bourbon barrels for five months, our Russian Imperial Stout has been aging gracefully into a dark, rich collage of flavours. The barrels bestow their signature notes of bourbon, vanilla, and oak on the nose. There’s also an array of rich malty aromas including molasses, treacle, and caramel. The heavy body and rich mouthfeel deliver the aromas noted above onto the palate with molasses, bourbon, and vanilla flavours holding the power. Hops temper the sweetness and roasted characteristics of the malt leading to a warming finish, of dark malts and wood.
