WINNIPEG, MB – Nonsuch Brewing has announced the release of its newest small batch beer.
Barrel Aged Pineau Saison (7.1% abv):
We blended our original Saison recipe with a Lambic and let it sit quietly in Pineau des Charentes barrels for five months. This light-bodied ale features a light orange appearance below a large, persistent off-white head. Expect peach, apricot, light funk, dried cherries, and wood notes on the nose. Lively carbonation delivers tart citrus with apricot and funk notes on the palate which add another layer to the classic Saison we have produced over the years. Stone fruit flavours finish this ale with a drying sensation both from the wood and the attenuation from the Saison yeast.
