TORONTO, ON – Bellwoods Brewery has announced the release of a new beer with a familiar name and label.
Fizzy Blaster Sour IPA (7% abv):
The first Fizzy Blaster was a Barrel Aged Double Sour Ale w/ Apricot, Plum & Vanilla, and though we liked the beer, we especially liked the name and the label artwork. We also wondered — does this beer benefit from barrel aging? Does it need to be this sour? Is there a more accessible version of the same idea out there amongst the fermenters and tri-clamps? Fizzy Blaster has been in our mind’s draft folder ever since and we’ve been looking for an opportunity to give it a thoughtful edit and hit send!
This batch of tastebud-igniting Sour IPA received a generous dose of mango, apricot and peach. Bright, tropical fruit aromatics and equally juicy hop characteristics are underscored by a hint of complimentary acidity. Round it out with a subtle dose of vanilla and you’ve got yourself a multi-dimensional, thirst-quenching and flavourful experience.
Fizzy Blaster is available now at both Bellwoods retail stores and the brewery’s online shop while supplies last.
