HALIFAX, NS – 2 Crows Brewing has announced the launch of a new year-round beer with a “hyper-local” focus.
AC Light Lager (4% abv):
“Atlantic Canada’s” Light Lager takes the idea of local beer to a new level by utilizing barley grown on PEI and malted by Shoreline Malting Co., whole-leaf hops grown by Lakeview Hops in New Brunswick, and beautifully soft Halifax water. Featuring Pilsner and Vienna malt, AC Light Lager utilizes an all-barley grain bill with no adjunct grain or sugar added, and is delicately hopped with minimally processed whole-leaf Chinook and Mt. Hood hops.
By sourcing local ingredients 2 Crows is celebrating the rich culture and history of Maritime growers while simultaneously reducing shipping times, costs and the carbon footprint of the beer it produces. The result is a truly Atlantic Canadian lager that is light, crisp, refreshing and naturally carbonated for enjoyment as a year-round favourite by all beer lovers.
AC Light Lager is officially launching today (January 28th) in the 2 Crows taproom and online shop. It will also be available in 6-packs at select NSLC locations starting May 2nd.
