Burdock Brewery Releases ERO V and Plumlee Sour Saison

TORONTO, ON – Burdock Brewery has announced the release of the latest edition in a series of beers that pay “eternal and undying tribute to the heavenly Montmorency Sour Cherry,” as well as a new sour saison aged on wine lees and plums.

ERO V (6.6% abv):

The 5th ERO has been uncaged from the cellar, and is drinking *kissy hand gesture* beautifully. It’s a blend of one-year-old barrel aged beers rested on 3 tonnes (!!) of de-stemmed Pinot Noir skins acquired from our eternal muses at Pearl Morissette, then racked onto a hearty helping of Montmorency sour cherries. ERO the 5th is lighter and brighter than the 4th. The pinot noir strawberry shortcake shines, and the sour cherries radiate high class Shirley Temple energy. We love it, you’re going to love it.

Plumlee (6% abv):

We made this can-conditioned fruity concoction by blending a chill saison that we aged on Cab Franc Lees (wine yeast) for 7 months in a stainless steel tank, and a batch of sour beer aged on Golden plums. Plumlee is sour, broad, balanced, and beautiful – with notes of candied nectarine, plum sake, and peach cognac. This beer evokes similar emotions to the ones we imagine fuzzy bunny rabbits have while bounding through sunlit grassy meadows.

Both beers are available now at the Burdock retail shop and online store.
