SUMMERLAND, BC – Five years after launching as the first brewery in the town of Summerland on the west shore of BC’s Okanagan Lake, Detonate Brewing has been put on the market, and will close soon if no buyer is found.
In a note posted to the brewery’s Facebook page last week, owner Nathan Rosin says that “there has been a lot of highs and lows through operating this little brewery and I am extremely grateful for the support of the community but it has come time for me to step back and spend more time with my family.”
The post also notes that to mark the brewery’s 5th anniversary, the taproom offered $5 pints over this past weekend, and will be doing the same on Friday February 18th and Saturday February 19th from 3:00 PM until “at least” 7:00 PM.
