HALIFAX, NS – Boxing Rock Brewing has announced plans to move its Halifax location to a new and larger location later this year.
Opened in 2018 in partnership with Local Source Market, the off-shoot of the original Boxing Rock on Nova Scotia’s South Shore is currently located on Agricola Street and features a 1-barrel brewhouse known as the “Test Kitchen”, as well as a retail outlet that has been the base of operations for the brewery’s deliveries to residences in Halifax and area.
“We can’t imagine where we would be without home delivery right now,” said Emily Cowin, co-owner of Boxing Rock, in a statement. “Not only has it provided a much-needed new distribution channel for us during the pandemic, but it has given us a unique opportunity to connect with and really get to know our customers.”
The new space in a former service station at the corner of Windsor Street and Almon Street, which is also a collaboration with Local Source Market, will feature an expanded retail store with a tasting bar and growler station. The brewery is also working with the Sobey School of Business at Saint Mary’s University to develop a new e-commerce system that will improve the ordering experience for delivery orders, as well as offering a new curbside pick-up option.
The new Boxing Rock Halifax location is expected to open at 2790 Windsor Street this spring. For more details, watch the Boxing Rock pages on Instagram and Facebook.
