HAMILTON, ON – Grain & Grit Beer Co. has announced details of “a big, family-friendly celebration” and special beer release in support of a local charity raising funds to fight a severe form of muscular dystrophy.
Max’s Big Day will be taking place at the brewery on Sunday, July 3rd from 12:00 noon to 4:00 PM to mark the completion of the 8th annual Max’s Big Ride, a 600 km bike trip from Hamilton to Ottawa that Andrew Sedmihradsky makes each summer to raise funds for Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a rare genetic disorder that his 11-year-old son Max was born with.
In addition to the release of the 5th annual edition of Max’s Big Beer, the day will feature “games, BBQ, raffle prizes, slushies and a bake sale,” will proceeds going to the Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy Research Fund at The University of Toronto.
The event will be preceded by a family bike ride from Café Domestiique in Dundas to Grain & Grit.
