BOWMANVILLE, ON – A brewery that opened in Ontario’s Durham Region in 2015 and moved to its current location last year has undergone some big changes.
Tilted Glass Brewing is the new name of Manantler Brewing, which was purchased earlier this year by Sam Wadera and has been renamed to signify a new start for the company.
Now led by a core team that includes Wadera, taproom manager Danika Chevrette, and head brewer Garett Stuckless, the brewery started phasing in the Tilted Glass name and branding last month, with a promise that it “will continue to make some of your favourites while introducing new exciting brews, [and will] still run familiar events and many new ones as well.”
In addition, the following statement has been posted on the Tilted Glass Instagram account:
We understand that the space we now occupy was once an unsafe place for some. Please know that we are working towards creating a new space that you will be comfortable to return to.
Our accessibility and safety guidelines will remain in our highlights and our safety statement is visible in the brewery.
We ask that you all continue to work with us to create a safe and accepting space. Please ask us any questions you may have in order to feel safe, and bring any concerns during your visit to the attention of our staff.
Tilted Glass Brewing is located at 160 Baseline Road East in Bowmanville, and is open 7 days a week. For more details including full business hours, see the brewery website.
