OTTAWA, ON – Broadhead Brewery has announced the latest release in its 174 Taproom Series of limited edition beers.
India Pale Lager (5.7% abv):
What happens when you combine the big hop style of an IPA with the clean, lighter bodied, crisp profile of a lager? Simply put, magic. The resulting India Pale Lager is ultimately refreshing, bright, and effervescent, combining the best parts of an IPA and a Lager. We’ve let it unfiltered to retain the awesome flavour and aromatics of the hops.
Pouring a beautiful light straw with just a hint of haze you will find pleasant aromas of citrus, grapefruit, pine and biscuit. The bright citrus carries through the palate with a slight sweet malty breadiness rounding things out. Light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation, this brew is clean, crisp, refreshing and will have you reaching for the next sip.
