ORO-MEDONTE, ON – Quayle’s Brewery has announced the release of a new small batch lager.
Distant Sun New Zealand Pilsner (5.2% abv):
Distant Sun is a New Zealand Pilsner that is hopped with Nelson Sauvin, Nectaron and Kohatu hops. New Zealand hops have a largely German lineage, with a distinctive fruity twist coming from the Marlborough/Nelson growing region. The result is a classic herbal pilsner character, accented with fruity peach, lime and white wine flavours. Distant Sun is balanced and satisfying, while still offering a complex and unique flavour. This style has become a modern day classic in it’s country of origin. We are also using an experimental yeast from Lallemand that creates a nice clean lager.
