ALMONTE, ON – Just short of six years from opening, the owners of Crooked Mile Brewing in the Eastern Ontario community of Almonte have announced that it will be ceasing operations in mid-September.
In a statement posted on Facebook and Instagram, Nick and Vicki Pruiksma said Crooked Mile will be closing on Saturday September 17th, but also revealed that the town won’t be without a brewery for too long:
We cannot thank you enough for your support over the years — we raise our glasses to you for being the best part of the brewing business. We are leaving with happy hearts, no regrets, and excitement for our future. And! Fear not, Base Camp Brewing Company will be taking over this location and we have no doubt they will be brewing top notch beer for you.
Crooked Mile Brewing is located at 453 Ottawa St. in Almonte, and will be open Thursdays and Fridays from 12:00 noon to 6:00 PM and Saturdays from 12:00 noon to 4:00 PM until closing day. More details on Base Camp Brewing are expected to be announced in coming weeks.
