Grain & Grit Beer Co. Releases Day Dream Oat Sour and Bob’s Best English Ale

HAMILTON, ON – Grain & Grit Beer Co. has announced the release of two ales, one brand new and the other an old favourite.

Day Dream Oat Sour with Niagara Cherries (5% abv):

This one was dreamed up by Jeff and Joe because they wanted to make a sour that would bring us into the fall months, and utilize local ingredients. They used loads of oats in the malt bill and local sour cherries from Niagara. The result is an effervescent, off-dry sour with a silky body and bright cherry flavour. It’s giving off aromas of cherry juice, candied peach, lemon, maple syrup and sourdough starter, with flavours of cherry, apricot skin, lemon juice and bread.

Bob’s Best English Ale (4.4% abv):

This beer is extra special to us, because it was brewed for and named after Lindsey’s dad, Bob! The recipe was developed for Bob in our home-brewing days, and we loved it so much that we made it part of our opening lineup. We brewed this version to be more true-to-style to a traditional English Bitter this time around, and we love the results. It’s got aromas of toffee, rye bread, fresh orange zest and caramelized banana, with flavours of over-steeped Orange Pekoe Tea, dried orange peel, walnuts and toasted pumpernickel bread. All of this goodness is wrapped up with a dry, tannic and slightly floral finish.

Both beers are available now at the Grain & Grit taproom, retail store, and online shop.
