TORONTO, ON – Godspeed Brewery has announced a special event and beer release that is the “culmination of a year-long project with one of the most illustrious breweries in the world.”
Pivní Slavnosti: A Czech Celebration Featuring Czechvar will be taking place this weekend (October 22nd and 23rd) at Godspeed (242 Coxwell Ave., Toronto), and will feature the debut of two collaborative lagers – one brewed at Czechvar in the Czech city of České Budějovice, and the other at Godspeed in Toronto. This marks the first international collaboration for Czechvar in its 127 year history.
In addition to the two new beers, a line-up of Czech-style lagers from Godspeed and traditional Czech lagers from Czechvar will also be pouring, and food from Prague Restaurant will be available from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Saturday and 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday.
Sunday will also feature a special toast and meet & greet with Adam Brož, Brewmaster of Czechvar, plus Czech pouring demos by Lukr, and a hop rubbing session with Bohemia Hops.
Pivní Slavnosti will run from 12:00 noon until late both days, and cans of the Toronto-brewed collaboration lager will be available at the Godspeed retail store and online shop starting at 11:00 AM on Saturday.
