TORONTO, ON – Great Lakes Brewery has announced another busy release week, with five beers hitting their shops including a special edition of a traditional German lager.
Absacker Helles Lager (5.0% abv):
Pours golden, with a snowy head of perfection. Malt sweetness hits the nose with enjoyable notes of citrus, grass and hay. Creamy yet crisp body making it an easy sessionable Helles. This particular batch was brewed with Georg Rittmayer, owner of Rittmayer Brewery in Hallerndorf, Germany; the 600 year old brewery that helped us create Absacker Helles Lager.
Stocking Toe Clementine Pale Ale (4.5% abv):
This thirst-quenchingly bright and zesty Pale Ale provides all the feels you got when you found a juicy clementine at the toe of your stocking.
Hops For Hunger Belgian Winter Ale (6.2% abv):
Brewed with love and support for Daily Bread Food Bank, this can-conditioned Belgian Ale is infused with coriander, vanilla, orange, and spices. $1 from each purchase is donated to Daily Bread Food Bank.
Rosie Belgian Fruit Beer (6.4% abv):
Mahogany in colour with hints of ruby shining through. An off-white head graces the liquid which gives it a majestic appearance much like an Australian Shepherd. Dark cherry leaps from the glass with each swirl, which is followed up by raspberry and raisin with a hint of treacle. Moderately carbonated yet soft in body, Rosie features flavours of candied fruits, more raisin and a slight phenolic note.
Monty Mild English Mild (3.7% abv):
A tan coloured head sits atop this big flavoured mild ale that pours medium brown in colour. Aromas and flavours consist of light cocoa, mild coffee, subtle caramel and some sweet raisin characteristics. Finishes dry and very moreish.
All five beers are available now at both Great Lakes Brewery locations, as well as via the GLB online store.
