MEAFORD, ON – Still Fields Brewery has announced the release of its latest limited edition lager.
Helles Bock (6.3% abv):
Our Helles Bock is the big brother of our lager. We increased our malt bill of German pilsner malt to boost the alcohol. Hopped with slightly more Cascade and Hersbrucker to balance out the higher alcohol. Helles Bock was pressure fermented with lager yeast. It was then transferred to barrels and lagered in oak at 5c. Nice noble hop expression balanced with bready malt notes and a subtle warmth from the extra alcohol.
