CALGARY, AB – Annex Ale Project has announced the release of a new small-batch lager.
Subtle Type Japanese Rice Lager (5% abv):
For our first rice lager we approached it mostly true to style, but left ourselves a little wiggle room to expand the confines of the mold to make something our own. What broke free from the cast was this pristine, understated lager that pours like the same gold you’d pan a river for. Subtle Type Japanese Rice Lager was brewed with three different types of rice using a step mash technique (slowly raising the temperature throughout the brewing process) to make this lager crisp and dry.
Subtle Type is available now at the Annex taproom and online shop, and select beer retailers in Alberta.
