OTTAWA, ON – Broadhead Brewery has announced the return of a “a tried and true favourite”, and the latest release in its 174 Taproom Series of limited edition beers.
Nuts & Bolts Pecan Brown Ale (5% abv):
Our Pecan Brown Ale pours a clear medium brown with amber hues, light tan head and some silky lacing. Aromas of nuts, roasted pecans, coffee, and caramel are followed by flavours of roasted pecan and caramel malt sweetness that give way to a hint of coffee and a bit of earthy hop bitterness. It’s medium bodied with a light to moderate carbonation that allows the flavors linger nicely, urging you to have another sip.
Schwarzbier (6.2% abv):
Pouring a very clear almost black with deep ruby highlights and a moderate tan-colored head. On the nose you’ll encounter toasted malts, dark chocolate, cocoa and coffee, with hints of floral hops, and an earthy nuttiness. On the palate you’ll meet notes of dark chocolate and caramel balanced by a slight grassy hop throughout, finishing with a mild coffee like bitterness. Light to medium bodied with gentle carbonation, and a very smooth mouthfeel.
