WINNIPEG, MB – Nonsuch Brewing has announced the release its newest small batch barrel-aged beer.
Flanders Red (5.4% abv) was aged for a year in red wine barrels, and has the following notes:
Pop the cork and you’ll be met with a crimson bouquet of caramel, sour cherry, funk, and plum aromas. Pour this light-bodied ale with confidence then pause as the aromas gather at the rim. Adorned with a thin and wispy head, copper-coloured beer is ready when the glass just begins to sweat (somewhere around 6-9ºC.) As it warms, our Flanders Red will reveal its true character in a flux of flavours starring raspberry, plum, and cherry interwoven with a funky, spicy note. Dark fruit brightens the tart finish.
Flanders Red is available now at the Nonsuch taproom and online store while supplies last.
