COLE HARBOUR, NS – North Brewing has announced the return of a beer from the early days of the brewery, albeit under a slightly different name that recognizes North’s subsequent move and expansion.
Gus’ 8600m Belgian Blonde (4.8% abv):
Way back in the early days of North Brewing (then called Bridge Brewing) we made just two beers, Farmhouse Ale and Gus’ 65m Ale. We made Gus’ for Gus’ Pub, where we were 65 meters away, door to door, and would deliver them kegs on our trusty dolly each week. As part of our birthday festivities, we have brought back Gus 65m Ale as Gus 8600m Ale, as we are now 8.6 km away.
This is a classical Belgian blonde ale, brewed with the same strain of yeast we started with in 2013. Its a wheat-forward beer, so slightly sweet on the palate. Hopped with old-school noble European hop varieties and fermented with expressive Belgian yeast, it has an aroma of banana and clove, with light lemon and pepper notes. Excited to have this classic back for our 10th birthday year!
Gus’ 8600m Belgian Blonde is available now all North Brewing locations and the brewery’s online shop.
