TORONTO, ON – Left Field Brewery has announced the second in a series of beers being released throughout February to mark the brewery’s 10th anniversary.
Goldpanner Smoked Black Lager (5.5% abv):
The first, and last, time we released Goldpanner was in 2020 to mark 115 years of celebrating one of baseball’s oldest traditions. Hosted by the Alaska Goldpanners, the event takes place every year on the summer solstice in Fairbanks, Alaska and initially started as a friendly bar bet. With the first pitch at 10pm, the game is played through the hour of midnight without any artificial lights thanks to 24 hours of uninterrupted daylight.
Goldpanner is a dark, gently smoked lager with a medium body and a mild and pleasant, toasty finish. This balanced dark beer is perfect for a late night sandwich and a ball game.
