ANCASTER, ON – Barrel Heart Brewing has announced the release of its latest barrel-aged and bottle-conditioned saison.
Blackberries Shine Like Stars (6.3% abv):
Blackberries Shine Like Stars is an aged saison with a bone-dry Lambrusco character, and notes of fresh berries, violets, and bitter almond on the finish. We sourced these organic blackberries from our friend Blackberry Bob of Thimbleberry Farms in Beamsville, Ontario. Blackberries Shine Like Stars was brewed in late February and early March of 2021 with rye, coriander and grains of paradise, and then rested in Niagara wine barrels for 15 months. The barrel-aged saison was then refermented on whole blackberries for three months and conditioned in bottle.
Blackberries Shine Like Stars is available now at the Barrel Heart taproom, bottle shop, and online store.
