Fogorig Brewing Releases Quintet of New and Returning Beers

CAMPBELLFORD, ON – Fogorig Brewing has announced details of five beers that were released earlier this month.

Wallace’s Revenge NEIPA (6.5% abv):

Wallace’s Revenge is our flagship New England style IPA and it is returning after its nearly 2 month hiatus. To make things pop, we’ve gone ahead and dialled this batch in just a little bit more… its a ‘Goldilocks’ type of situation if you will. We get pineapple, passionfruit, young coconut flesh, and then some zippy lime zest, among other tropical fruit flavours. The dankness is both green and grapey, but in the subtlest of ways. That background berry note and blackcurrant comes through to really kick things into high gear.

Waymarker Sour Series: I Scream Orange Dream (5.3% abv):

Brewed with milk sugar and a bit of maltodextrin, we achieved a rounded zippiness that embodies creamsicles/dreamsicles… or what have you. It’s a citrus based sipper and slugger all-in-one. Aromas of (you guessed it) tangerine and blood orange, with hints of vanilla, reminiscent of those oh so tasty treats we once knew and loved. Bring out your inner child and indulge in this cold quaffer.

Barrel Aged Highland Ground Scottish Ale (7% abv):

We get a satisfying booziness that blends ever so effortlessly with that woodsy complexity of the rye barrels. It’s subtly spicy with hints of dark roast coffee beans and chocolate covered raisins. These notes are amplified tenfold on the tongue, bringing forth a clean but complex palate pleaser that only gets better with warmth (…and age?). The carbonation is dialled down a touch to encourage consumption at a preferred temperature of 16-18C, but if you don’t have a brewers tongue, the higher single digits are more than sufficient.

Moments of Clarity Vienna Lager (5% abv):

This Vienna style lager is our first collab with our friends at Town Brewing! Aromas of freshly baked bread with a slightly spicy and herbaceous backbone. Subtle floral notes meet with a complex malt character that unfolds with the warming touch of one’s hands. Toasty and round, brightened ever so slightly by some supporting citrus. A balance many months in the making. A journey taken together. A beer as clear as day.

Velvet Elvis Double IPA (7.5% abv):

We brewed a beer here and we brewed a beer at Town – the folks at Town wanted to make a huge bodied double IPA… mission accomplished. The ABV is pretty modest for a DIPA but the mouthfeel and hop saturation on this beer are what sets it apart. Heavy doses of Idaho 7, Strata, Belma and Simcoe combined to create a profusion of fruit flavours. We notice pineapple, berry and mango and we’re in love with it. It’s insanely smooth and fluffy and it’s just what we needed in our lives at the moment. We hope you agree!

The first four beers are available now at the Fogorig taproom, retail store, and online shop, while Velvet Elvis can be found both in-person and online at Town Brewery.
