WHITBY, ON – Town Brewery has announced the release of a new well-hopped sour ale.
Smile High Golden Sour (4.8% abv):
Smile High is a Golden Sour with Comet and Nelson Sauvin. Comet is an interesting hop that’s been around since the 60’s but has only recently seen a surge in popularity. It’s zesty with grapefruit and tangerine, and backed by some unique grassy and herbal elements. Nelson Sauvin is a heavy hitter. We love this hop, period. It’s great in IPAs, it’s beautiful in lagers and it showcases really well in this sour. The name is derived from the Sauvignon Blanc grape and it lends pronounced flavours of white wine and freshly crushed gooseberries. Put simply, this beer is bright, fresh and balanced, and at 4.8% it’s insanely sessionable.
Smile High is available now at the Town Brewery taproom, retail shop, and online store.
