CALGARY, AB – Cabin Brewing has announced the release of a beer that was brewed on International Women’s Day by brewer Kaitlyn Shrubsall and Cabin’s other female staff members.
A Beer Named Sue Hazy Pale Ale (5.5% abv):
This pillowy, hazy pale ale explodes with juicy stonefruit and tropical fruit notes and complex floral hop aromas. At its core is the Pink Boots hop blend, which this year includes Loral, Ekuanot and HBC586. The Cabin women cranked it to 11 with additional doses of their favourite hops – Rakau, Wai-iti, Amarillo and HBC1019 – plus a healthy helping of peach, passionfruit and apricot.
Subtle it isn’t. Delicate it ain’t. Incredible it most definitely is. This is craft beer.
A Beer Named Sue is available now at the Cabin taproom, retail store, and online shop, and select beer retailers throughout Alberta.
$1 from every four-pack sold will be donated to Pink Boots Canada, and $1 from each taproom pour will go to FearIsNotLove (formerly the Calgary Women’s Emergency Shelter).
