THUNDER BAY, ON – Just over seven years after opening its original location at 905 Copper Crescent in Thunder Bay, Dawson Trail Craft Brewery has completed a move to a new and larger home elsewhere in the city.
The new spot near the Thunder Bay Country Club officially opened last Friday March 31st, and is more than three times the size of the Copper Crescent facility. The additional space and increased brewing capacity will allow the brewery to expand its beer line-up and distribution in coming months.
“We’re expanding our production by quite a bit,” brewery owner George Renner told local newspaper The Chronicle-Journal. “Basically, everything around this move is facilitating the expansion of that system. It’s allowing us to expand our production into the bigger market and the LCBO where previously we just weren’t big enough to do that.”
Another change is the addition of on-site food service in the taproom, which will be provided by Daytona’s Kitchen and Creative Catering.
Dawson Trail Craft Brewery is located at 1181 Golf Links Road, where it shares a building with On The Links virtual golf facility and sports bar. For more details, see the brewery’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
