TORONTO, ON – Left Field Brewery has announced plans to open a second location in Toronto’s Liberty Village neighbourhood.
The brewery describes the location and its plans as follows:
Our new space is a century-old former billiard table factory, and like our current location, it’s a beautiful and natural-light filled brick and beam space with amazing historic charm. We’ll be spending the next months transforming the 11,000 square foot, two storey space into a community-focused, 300 seat Tap Room, Kitchen and Retail store that feels like Left Field.
The Tap Room will be a casual, communal and inclusive space to connect over a beer. It will be a space for groups of all sizes to gather for the game and to cheer on the home team. The Kitchen will offer brunch, lunch and dinner, with ballpark-inspired dishes, designed to pair perfectly with our beers. Our beer lineup will be complemented with locally sourced wine, cider and spirits. The Retail Store will offer our full range of core, seasonal and one-off canned beers along with merchandise like apparel, glassware and fan gear.
Our brewers are eager to start brewing on the new 8hL brewhouse and filling the five 8hL fermentors and eleven 8hL conditioning and serving tanks. Smaller in scale compared to our current 23hL brewhouse and 46hL fermentors, this expansion will give us even more opportunity to brew one-offs and collabs, and to experiment with new styles, ingredients, processes and recipes.
The location was previously home to The 3 Brewers, which opened there in 2016, and closed three years later as part of the downsizing of the brewpub chain’s Ontario operations.
Left Field Liberty Village will be opening later this year at 40 Hanna Avenue in Toronto. The brewery is currently hiring a general manager for the new location, and is welcoming feedback, ideas, and questions via an online survey.
