CAMBRIDGE, ON – Rhythm & Brews Brewing has announced the upcoming opening of a restaurant in its taproom and concert venue in partnership with Chef Darnell Nevers Jr. of The Wandering Cajun.
Nevers has been offering a limited pop-up menu at the brewery for the last few weekends, but will now be running a full service kitchen with a menu based around Cajun, barbeque, and other comfort food dishes inspired by family recipes.
“I incorporate dish names in the menu such as Mamma’s Cornbread and Pop’s Mac and Cheese to let people know that these are all somebody’s recipes from within my family or my own,” said Nevers Jr. in an interview with Cambridge Today. “There are seasonings being used that go back to ancestors in the slave days that have been passed down to my grandma and her grandma and I want to share that.”
A launch party for The Wandering Cajun at Rhythm & Brews will take place this weekend (April 29th and 30th), with daily service officially starting on Monday May 1st. For more details, see the Rhythm & Brews Facebook page.
