Mythological Beauty (6.6% abv) is a blend of barrel-aged mixed culture beers with elephant heart plums, and is described as follows:
We made this mixed culture brew using four unique barrels to give us the perfect low acid, malt-forward base to receive and balance the tartness of the plums. Each of the barrels contained a different style, because only by the powers of a Belgian Rye, Red Sour Base, Mixed Culture Rye Saison, and Brett Saison combined were we able to create what would be just the beginning of this beer’s fairy-tale ending.
This beer’s a complex beaut that boasts a balanced blend of black pepper, stone fruit, caramelly bread crust, and a fantastical amount of funk. Improbably, this plum-pigmented potion is just as stunning in the glass—every inch poured deepening the sunset shades that splash within. And just like that, you’re all caught up.
